When Do You Get Your Results?
You get your results immediately after completing the test. There's no waiting period — you'll see your score on the screen as soon as you submit your final answer.
What Will You See?
After finishing the test, the screen will show:
- Your score — the number of questions you got right out of 24
- Pass or fail — whether you met the 75% threshold
- Your certificate — if you passed, you'll receive a pass certificate
Understanding Your Score
| Score | Result | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| 24/24 | Pass | Perfect score — well done! |
| 20-23/24 | Pass | Excellent — comfortable pass |
| 18-19/24 | Pass | You passed — but consider studying more for citizenship |
| 17/24 | Fail | Just missed — very close, review your weak areas |
| Below 17 | Fail | More study needed — focus on the official handbook |
Your Pass Certificate
If you pass, you'll receive a pass certificate that includes:
- Your full name
- Date of the test
- Test centre details
- Confirmation that you passed
Keep this certificate safe. You'll need it for your citizenship or ILR application. If you lose it, you can request a replacement, but this takes time.
What If You Fail?
If you don't score 18 or above:
- You won't receive a certificate
- You can retake the test after a waiting period
- Each retake costs another £50
- There's no limit on how many times you can retake

What to Do After Passing
- Store your certificate safely — make a digital copy too
- Check the validity — read about certificate validity
- Proceed with your application — include the certificate with your citizenship or ILR application
